September Prayer Focus

Day 1—

  • We lift our prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings to You Lord, for all people, for kings and all who are in positions of high authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. We pray that more leaders will be saved and come to the knowledge and recognition of the truth of God’s law. (1 Tim 2:1-4)
  • Leaders to be greatly discerning to the heart of God and to walk in His truth | Is. 11:3; 1 Chr 12:32; Phil. 1:9-10; James 3:17
  • 1 Chr. 12:32 | We pray for leaders in the Body of Christ to be greatly discerning to the heart of God and to walk in His truth. Like the men of Issachar, may leaders be set apart in their mind to discern the spiritual times and the seasons their members are in. May they know what to do, how and when.
  • 1 Thess. 5:12-13—Lord, help us to appreciate our leaders and esteem them highly in love.

Learners’ new beginning

  • Lord, help our children and those currently studying to grasp hold of what they need to know and learn. We ask You to give them the aptitude for understanding, wisdom and become transformed. Thank You that they have the mind of Christ and that their memory is blessed. (Daniel 1:17, 20 ; 1 Cor 2:16; Prov. 10:7)
  • Lord, We pray that you stir up, develop and maximise our learners’ creative ability, understanding, intelligence, and knowledge for a successful and fulfilling life (Exodus 31:3)
  • We receive great Grace for competence, increase and improvement. Our capacity for a productive and fulfilling life shall significantly increase. We receive grace for extraordinary creativity, achievement, and fulfilment this season. We receive advancement in earning skills and opportunities (Deut. 8:18; Isaiah 54:1-8; Isaiah 60:1-5; 62;1-7; Isaiah 48:17)

Day 2—

  • 1 Thess. 1:5,9—Lord, cause Your word being ministered at our Churches and at Equipping People to come with power, in the Spirit and with conviction—bringing about lasting change. Cause us to turn away from idols, to serve You alone, our living and true God.
  • We asked for the resources, harvest of souls and willing Kingdom labourers to start new Hub Centres and plant new EP branch(es) in 2024 (Zech. 4:6-7; Acts 4:33)
  • Lord, through the ministry of your Holy Spirit, let Your word cut deep into our heart, let it expose every dysfunction in members’ lives and let it bring a lasting revival into our lives/Church. (Acts 2:37-39)
  • Father, in agreement with Rev. 5:12 and 2 Pet. 1:3; we ask for the manifestation of all that Christ has received from you on our behalf. Therefore, as a Church we confess that we will operate in Power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, and blessing.
  • Acts 9:31 | We pray that the Church will walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort & help of the Holy Spirit.
  • Lord, visit the unsaved people in our neighbourhood and in our cities and take out of them a people for your name. (Acts 15:14)
  • Is. 55:5 | We call the nations that we do not know to the obedience of the gospel, and we declare that the nations that do not know us shall run to us, because the Lord our God and the Holy One of Israel has glorified us.
  • Acts 2:42—47; 4:33 | We declare Equipping People shall indeed be a place to thrive, Grow and Belong in the Godkind of fellowship.
  • Lord, we believe You for souls of our members to escape every bondage, ensnarement, or containment (Ps. 124:7; Col. 1:13)
  • We believe You for Your word to grow mightily in our churches & prevail in members’ lives.  (Acts 19:20)
  • We trust You that our church members will receive Your word with all readiness of mind and search the scriptures daily & faith level will rise (Acts 17:11-12)
  • Let there be an increasing release of ‘awesome things that we did not look for’ in our meetings, our ministry, and our lives.
  • We rebuke every spirit of ‘containment’ over our life, career, ministry and over our Church (Micah 2:13)
  • Malachi 3:10-12; Ps.1:1-3; 23:1—Lord as we willingly honour you with our substance, we believe you to rebuke ‘the devourer’ for our sakes. In agreement with Your word, our jobs and businesses shall not fail to be productive. We believe you for wisdom and favour for strategic creativity, gainful employment, and productive investment for increase. Nations shall call us ‘blessed’ and a delightful land—and the devourer will not destroy our gains and outcomes. For the Lord is our source and provider, therefore our trust is wholly in Him to supply all our needs, to the glory of His name alone!

Day 3—

  • We pray for revelation and wisdom for families to meaningfully envision and plan for 2024. Help families this year, to devise short-term and long-term goals – the milestones they hope to achieve together. Empower our minds and capacity to set realistic goals and help us with resources and capacities to achieve our goals this year. May the fulfilment of our dream be bigger than the disfunction of our shortcomings as families.
  • Ps. 124:7; 125:3—We command every sinful snare over our lives to be broken and our soul to escape like a bird out of the snare of doubt, condemnation, unbelief, or addiction. We decree, no sceptre of wickedness will rest on our life portions.
  • Isaiah 49:25—We receive great Grace to overcome sinful habit or ungodly behaviour that contends with our desire for holiness, righteousness, and consistent growth. We command shackles of captivity to be broken, and the snare of the evil to be destroyed.

May we be filled with all the fullness of God.
