Prayer Points for May
1. Spiritual Maturity in Christ (Ephesians 4:13–15)
- Lord, bring me/us into spiritual maturity, enable me/us to experience the fullness of what it means to know the son of God. May me/us be a perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed into the abundance of Christ.
- Lord, bring me/us into full spiritual maturity. Help me grow in truth and love, and no longer be tossed by every wind of doctrine.
2. Kingdom Priority (Matthew 6:33)
- Father, align my heart to seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness first above all things. Let my desires reflect Your will daily.
- Father, realign and reposition our motives and let it be acceptable in your sight.
3. Heavenly Mindset (Colossians 3:1–2)
- Father, we declare that Christ's resurrection is our resurrection - Christ sits enthroned at the place of power, so we also sit in the position of power, honour, and authority.
- Help us to live with an eternal perspective, not a worldly perspective or in distractions.
4. Endurance & Focus (Hebrews 12:1–2)
- Father, we declare that by your enabling grace, we lay aside every weight and sin which so easily we fall into.
- We receive help from the Holy Spirit to run the race with endurance, fixing my eyes on Jesus - the author and finisher of our faith.
5. Fruitful Growth (2 Peter 1:5–8)
- Lord, help me/us grow in faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love.
- Our growth in you will be more productive and useful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
6. Renewed Mind (Romans 12:2)
- Father, transform my mind and the way we think. Enable me to think like a new creation in Christ.
- Lord, help me reject worldly patterns and walk in Your good and perfect will.
7. Guarded Heart (Proverbs 4:23)
- Father, teach me/us how to guard our hearts diligently, and help us stop and think about what we are thinking about.
- We declare that out of the abundance of God's treasure will operate.
8. Spiritual Alertness (Luke 21:34)
- Lord, keep my heart from being weighed down by distractions, idleness or drunkenness.
- Help me stay spiritually watchful and disciplined.
9. Spiritual Discipline (1 Timothy 4:7–8)
- Father, grant me the enabling grace to discipline myself for godliness.
- Let my daily habits reflect spiritual growth.
10. Undivided Heart (Psalm 86:11)
- Lord, teach me more about you and how you work and move so that I may be aligned to your ways.
- Father, ignite my heart to fear your name and remove distractions and give me a focused, devoted spirit.
11. Pure Thoughts (Philippians 4:8)
- Father, help me to dwell on what is true, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.
- Lord, purify my thought life - do something new in this new month
