Thrive in Relationship

Day 1 Thrive in your mind for Relationships

 1 Cor. 15:57; Col 1:13; 1 Cor 15:57; Gal. 2:20; Psalm 124:7; Psalm 125:3; Isaiah 49:25

  • Give thanks to the Lord, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ and for delivering us from the power of darkness and conveying us into His kingdom.
  • Confess, “…I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me…”
  • Command every sinful snare over your life to be broken and your soul to escape like a bird out of the snare of the trapper.
  • Ask the Lord to contend with every sinful habit or ungodly behaviour that contends with our desire for holiness and righteousness in relationships.
  • Thank the Lord for liberty in your mind and thoughts. I am not a slave to my thoughts. I am a good custodian of the mind God has given me. According to 1 Cor 2:16 I have the mind of Christ. I do not have the spirit of fear, but that of boldness and of a sound mind to engage in purposeful, fruitful, and fulfilling relationships. 2 Tim 1:7
  • I am sensitive and averse to any toxic thought because I have the mind of Christ. I quickly rejects and replace any wrong thinking  and do not allow them to become strongholds in my mind. Past memories shall not hold sway over me.
  • The words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart are acceptable in God. By the weapon of my warfare which are not carnal, but mighty through God I pull down strongholds of anxiety, fear, hopelessness,  worthlessness, guilt, unworthiness, anger and un-forgiveness.
  • I focus on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report and of virtue and praise (Phil 4:8)

Day 2 Thrive in emotional relationships and marriage:

Wise communication in relationships:

  • Psalm 19:14: May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
  • Psalm 141:3: Lord, set up a guard for my mouth, keep watch at the door of my lips.
  • Proverbs 17:27: A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered.
  • Proverbs 12:18: Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.
  • James 1:19: My dear brothers and sisters, be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry.

Marriages & relationships (Prov. 5:15-21)

  • That couples will be willing and obedient to God and see marriage as God's living parable of His commitment to the church. (Ephesians 5:21-32)
  • We pray for grace to be faithful in relationships. We rebuke immoral spirit.
  • There shall be unending experience of joy and gladness; mentally, spiritually, emotionally and sexually in our marriages.
  • For any couple, single parent or matured single hurting, we receive healing (mentally, emotionally and spiritually) and we ask for the wounds to be healed in Jesus name. Psalms 147:3
  • Our marriages and relationships shall be kept pure and undefiled (Heb. 13:4)
  • We renounce all lust, perversion, immorality, uncleanliness, impurity, ungodly soul ties, immoral relationships and all ungodly thought patterns in our lives in Jesus name.
  • We command the stronghold of delays, distractions and spiritual veil to be broken in the lives of our matured singles and everyone seeking to be married, including single parents. (Ps 124:7; 125:3)

Day 3 Thrive in Partnership and Friendship

Godly cooperation in Relationship: Gal 6:2; Gal 6:9-10; Phil 2:3; Phil 2:14-15; Eph 6:2-3; John 113:34; 1Thes 5:11

  •  Father, we pray for the grace to be able to bear each other’s burden – help us to show empathy to other people's needs.
  • We pray that we will not be weary while doing good to others, especially those in the household of faith.
  • We pray we will love one another as a team, and work together with one mind and one purpose.
  • Heavenly father, help us to do all things without complaining and disputing. May our lives continue to shine as light bearers in this crooked and perverse generation.
  • That we will esteem and build each other up – encouraging with words that lift and build faith.
  • Teach us how to love one another.

Wisdom and Spirit-enabled self-control in Relationship:

  • 2 Peter 1:5-6: Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness. Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone
  • Proverbs 25:28: A person without self-control is as defenceless as a city with broken-down walls.
  • Gal 5:22-23: But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control. Here there is no conflict with the law.
  • 2 Timothy 1:7: For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
  • Titus 2:2: Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have strong faith and be filled with love and patience.
  • 1 Peter 1:13: So, think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the special blessings that will come to you at the return of Jesus Christ.
  • 2 Peter 1:5,6: So, make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better. Knowing God leads to self-control. Self- control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness.

  • Lord, open our eyes this season, to see the ‘fields’ that are already white for harvest in our friendship groups, workplaces, neighbourhood or with casual strangers. (John 4:35)
Day 3:

  • We pray for the boldness & wisdom to take the right steps in all areas of life (1 Chronicles 12:32; Esther 4; Neh. 1)
  • We pray for necessary favour, wisdom, and attitude at every season of our lives (Ps. 102:13; Ps. 23:5; Luke 2:52)

Equipping Confession for this season—
  • We will walk in discernment of God’s mind for us; we will not be confused or helpless.
  • We receive the Spirit’s inspiration and guidance; we trust in the Lord with all our heart; we will not lean on our own human wisdom, and in all our ways we will acknowledge the Lord. We believe He will direct our ways this season.
  • We will spiritually perceive times and seasons; wisely  position ourselves to distinguish what is consequentially necessary and boldly take required actions and measures.
  • We will not be afraid of predicted or actual famine or drought—the Lord is our Jireh.
  • We declare that “wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of our times--the strength of salvation and the fear of the Lord will be our treasure.
  • We receive Holy Spirit's help to discern the times and seasons of Lord's return and to live ‘ready’ always.
  • We open our eyes this season and we see souls ready for harvest. In Jesus name!

Intentional Growth.

Day 1 | Start with thanksgiving
  • Lord, we believe you that with joy, we shall continuously draw out ‘water’ of revelation, transformation & refreshing out of the ‘wells’ of our salvation experience. (Isaiah 12:3)
  • We believe that faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of God—so we declare, that we shall ’hear’ the word of God in our spirit—and our mind and body shall respond to the dictate of our spirit (Romans 10:17)
  • We believe that in our Church—our God shall destroy every demonic covering, cast over the mind of His people. He will remove the veil that cover the eyes of understanding. Our god will wipe away tears, He shall take away the reproach of His people and His hand shall rest on us.(Isaiah 25:7-10)
  • We proclaim that we are a righteous nation which keeps the Lord’s truth, therefore—the Lord will keep us in perfect peace, because we trust in Him, and our mind & spirit is focused on Him. For in our God is everlasting strength. (Isaiah 26:2-4)
  • We declare—wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of our times; salvation shall be our strength and the fear of the Lord shall be our treasure. (Isaiah 33:6)
  • We call forth ‘the ransomed’ of the Lord to begin to return with singing. Everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness—sorrow and sighing shall flee away from them. (Isaiah 35:10)
  • We declare that we shall take root downward and bear fruit upward continually—therefore we declare we shall be ‘deeper and stronger’ in consecration, in relationship, in dominion, in capacity and in impact. (Is. 38:31)
  • To everyone who is weak, we receive power. For those who have no might, we receive increase of strength. As we wait upon the Lord, we renew our strength— we mount up with wings like eagles—as we run, we will not be weary, as we walk, we will not faint—for the Lord shall be our strength! (Isaiah 40:28-31)
  • Lord, Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, our strength, and our redeemer” (Psalm 19:14)
  • Lord, we receive wisdom and discipline to intentionally meditate on and conform our mind and our life to your word and precepts; that we may shape and change our worldview by your word-standard. (Ps. 119:9; Rom. 12:1-2)
  • Lord, do not let us wander from Your commandments—neither through ignorance nor by wilful disobedience. Give us undying desire to treasure and store Your word in our heart, through memorising and meditation, that we may not sin against You. (Deut. 11:18; Ps 119:11)

Day 2 | Our God, we ask for—
  • Surrender and submission to be intentionally God-focused with our time, talent, money, skills, and challenges. (Prov. 3:5-6)
  • Wisdom and love to be intentionally relationship-minded to believers and soul-fishing to non-believers. (John 1:41-43; Gal. 6:10)
  • Wisdom, creativity, might, grace and favour to intentionally seek opportunities to—transform our sphere of influence (Matt. 5:14; Isaiah 60:1-3); confront our fears (Ps 18:29; Phil 4:13); Comfort the wounded and the bruised (Luke 4:18-19); maximise our gifts & skills (Matt. 25:14-30) and serve (Matt. 20:25-27)
  • Discernment and alertness to be intentionally watchful (1 Cor. 16:13-14) in guarding our spirit (Prov. 4:23); in praying (1 Thess. 5:16-18); in memorizing and meditating on scriptures (Ps. 1:1-3; Joshua 1:8) and diligently attending physical gathering with believers (Matt. 18:20; Heb. 10:25)

Day 3 | Hosea 14:4-8
  • Lord, turn your anger away from us, heal our backsliding and enable us to receive Your love freely. (vs 4)
  • Be like the dew to us. Refresh us, body soul and spirit as we wait on you. Cause us to blossom and grow maximally—as individuals, families and as the Church—as we wait on You. Cause us to take roots downward and be more fruitful. Cause our spiritual, emotional and mental development and stability to endure. (vs. 5)
  • Lord, through us, cause Your Name, Your Love, Your forgiveness and Your Power to be more known and proclaimed in our places of influence, community and nation. Increase our willingness and desire to testify of Your goodness and greatness. (vs6)
  • Lord, let Your beauty be seen upon us through— fruit-bearing, life-transformation, soul-winning, character-development and answers to our prayers. Cause our influence and reach in communities and neighbourhood to be significant. Raise willing labourers and builders (vs 6)
  • Lord, please bring back our church members, family or/and friends who are unsaved or spiritually bankrupt to begin to return to Christ. May they be revived like grain and grow like godly vine.  We ask for passion and willingness for soul harvests appointed to us.  We believe you for greater increase in number, commitment and belonging as a Church. (vs 7)
  • Pour out your revival and your Spirit on us afresh and cause us to prioritise You above whatever had become an idol in our lives. (vs 8)
